Conrad Erdt – Music and Creative Arts Coordinator
Conrad Erdt has worked as a professional keyboard musician since age seventeen. He recently served as Music Director for the FBC Somerville church, and previously as organist for the Federated Church of Livingston. Outside of the church, Conrad specializes in collaborative piano with voice students, community choirs and musical theater repertoire.
He has performed on keyboards in ensembles featuring internationally renowned musicians, and with other performing artists in New York City, the tri-state area, Mid-Atlantic, and out to New Mexico and Missouri. He holds a N.J. Music Education Certificate from Kean University, and also earned a B.A. in Music from Rutgers College, New Brunswick.
He studied music with many excellent musicians, including National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master/Juilliard faculty, Kenny Barron.
Conrad was a High School Music Educator for six years, teaching guitar, chorus, general music, and band. He also worked in the music business and in the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries.
Past memberships include the National Association for Music Education and the National Academy of Popular Music. Conrad is married to Elise Grant Erdt, a visual artist and educator.
